About the role

Overview Morning Weather Content/ Show Producer – WeatherNation TV WeatherNation TV seeks a full-time Producer who loves weather and can juggle multiple duties. This isn’t your normal newscast where you stack an hour show and write ten VO’s. Here, you work with meteorologists to produce seven-minute live segments throughout the day. During severe weather, you produce breaking news coverage for the duration of the event. Primary duties include stacking a rundown, setting up lives with field correspondents and expert guests, seeking viral video content on the internet, posting engaging social media content, editing VO’s, SOT’s, PKG’s. Experience with Adobe products is a plus, but not required. Requirements / Schedule This position requires a flexible schedule which will include early morning shifts. You must have the ability to work assisted and unassisted as necessary in a deadline-driven environment. This is a great job for a former on-air meteorologist or broadcast producer who is looking for something completely different from producing a local affiliate newscast.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
