Job Summary: The Warehouse Associate supports daily warehouse operations and provides occasional runner assistance to Field Service Engineers (FSEs) working in the port. This role focuses on inventory organization, material handling, and routine warehouse tasks, with intermittent responsibilities such as delivering tools or equipment, picking up items from the port, or retrieving materials from local stores or mailbox locations. The Warehouse Associate ensures smooth operational flow by maintaining an organized warehouse and supporting field needs as they arise.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations: Receive, sort, and store incoming materials, tools, and equipment. Maintain accurate inventory counts and assist with cycle counts and stock organization. Prepare outgoing materials, including labeling, packaging, and documentation. Support loading and unloading of deliveries and coordinate with vendors as needed. Keep warehouse areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
Runner & Field Support: Provide as‑needed runner support to Field Service Engineers in the port. Deliver tools, parts, or equipment from the warehouse to FSEs when requested. Pick up items or equipment from FSEs in the port and return them to the office or warehouse. Follow port access procedures and maintain awareness of safety protocols while on port property.
Material & Equipment Pickups: Assist with periodic pickups of materials, equipment, or supplies from local stores or vendors. Retrieve mail, packages, and shipments from mailbox or designated pickup locations. Ensure all transported items are properly documented and delivered to the correct internal team.
General Support: Coordinate daily priorities with warehouse leads, FSEs, and office staff. Communicate clearly regarding delivery timelines, inventory needs, or urgent requests. Support special projects, equipment organization, or facility tasks as assigned.
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. Experience in warehouse operations, material handling, or logistics preferred. Forklift experience or certification is a plus. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between port, warehouse, and office locations. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and climbing ladders or stairs, including on uneven or slippery surfaces. Strong attention to detail, reliability, and follow‑through. Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with shifting priorities. Self‑motivated, takes ownership of work, and proactively addresses tasks and unexpected situations. Ability to obtain a TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential).
Working Conditions:
  • Work is performed in a warehouse environment and occasionally at port locations.
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, and rain during outdoor or port‑related tasks
  • Available to work weekends as needed.
  • OtherMust be able to pass a drug screening and background check upon request for customer site access. A clean driving record is required.
