About the role
CFOx is an advisory firm that specializes in CFO, Transaction, and Accounting Services in the middle-market. We have offices in Denver, Detroit, and Boston. We work with private equity firms and their portfolio companies, founder-owned businesses, investment banks, and investors nationwide.
Position OverviewOur CFO and Accounting Services group primarily serves middle-market private equity-backed companies and founder-owned businesses that need CFO and Accounting services to scale, gain visibility into their business, or/and prepare for a transaction.
CFOx is looking for a Vice President to work closely with the Director to provide strategic financial insights, drive operational improvements, and support growth initiatives of our clients. This role requires a deep understanding of private equity environments, strong financial acumen, and exceptional leadership skills.
Typical engagements include:
Fractional CFO
Historical accounting clean-up
Accounting processes, procedures, and systems implementation
Financial reporting design and implementation
Recurring monthly bookkeeping services (i.e.: month-end close, bill pay, payroll processing, AR collection, etc.)
Audit readiness
Role ResponsibilitiesSupport and execute CFO and Transaction services engagements
Assist in design, improvement, and implementation of internal processes, procedures, and templates for each group
Active involvement in the firm’s business development efforts
Active participation in operations and strategy discussions
Qualifications4-8 years of public accounting or/and corporate finance experience
1-3 years of leadership experience
Knowledge of GAAP and internal accounting systems and accounting processes such as inventory, accrual estimates, revenue recognition, fixed assets, and interim/year-end close
Ideal candidates will have at least one of the following: CPA, CFA, MBA, or relevant Masters
Previous audit experience is preferred
Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time, when applicable#J-18808-Ljbffr
