Global Tax Operations ConsultantRARE OPPORTUNITY TO WORK WITH AN INDUSTRY LEADING, CUTTING-EDGE TECHNOLOGY COMPANY: Our client is at the forefront of its industry, with rapid growth and expansion both domestically and internationally. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role as they build out and expand their tax function. LEVERAGE YOUR GLOBAL PROVISION AND GLOBAL COMPLIANCE KNOWLEDGE – Opportunity for an experienced tax professional to support a publicly traded multinational organization with complex global tax provision and compliance needs. This individual will be responsible for reviewing Federal, State, and International ASC 740 tax provisions and federal, state, and international tax returns prepared by a third-party Big 4 firm. TECHNICAL TAX SUPPORT / CROSS-FUNCTIONAL PARTNERSHIP – Provide critical support to the tax function by working with accounting teams on tax differences, entity classification elections, EIN setup, new entity compliance requirements, and U.S. residency tax matters. The ideal candidate will be comfortable navigating complex tax issues, researching technical matters, and preparing clear, concise tax memorandums. LOCATION/DURATION: This role is 40+ hours each week and can be done fully remote, but candidates must be based in Mountain/Pacific time zone. Responsibilities:
Review Federal, State, and International ASC 740 tax provisions prepared by PwC within a publicly traded multinational environment. Analyze global tax provision calculations, including tax reserves, accruals, and related tax accounting impacts. Support global tax compliance initiatives, including gathering and reviewing data for domestic tax workpapers prepared by PwC.Review and analyze book-to-tax differences and assist with identifying and resolving tax accounting adjustments. Partner with accounting teams on tax-related matters, including entity classification elections, EIN setup and entity formation requirements, etc. Communicate technical tax findings and recommendations to leadership and cross-functional teams. Identify process improvements and proactively support additional tax initiatives as needed. Work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Required Experience:
Significant experience with global ASC 740 / tax provision review Strong global tax compliance background Must be based in a location on Pacific Standard Time or Mountain Standard Time Experience with Workday ERP is a highly preferred Strong technical tax research skills with experience drafting tax memorandums. Demonstrated ability to research complex tax issues and provide practical recommendations. Combination of public accounting experience and corporate/in-house tax experience required.
