About the role

Business Development Manager, Federal Channel Partnerships Washington, D.C. / Northern Virginia Metro | Multiple Openings
About the Role: Our client is an established technology workforce solutions firm that places technical delivery teams directly within enterprise and government client organizations nationally. The company has built a growing federal subcontracting and teaming business, working alongside large Federal Systems Integrators (FSIs), prime contractors, and consulting firms, and is now expanding that engine with dedicated Business Development talent. This is a chance to join a small, high-performing team and take on a growth motion the company's own leadership has personally built and run to date.
What You'll Do: Build and expand relationships with Federal Systems Integrators, prime contractors, and consulting firms to identify new subcontracting and teaming opportunities. Represent the company's delivery model and capabilities to channel and partner organizations. Support pipeline development and opportunity qualification for work sourced through primes and partners. Coordinate with company leadership on teaming agreements, contract vehicle positioning, and pursuit strategy. Maintain working fluency in the federal acquisition landscape, agencies, contract vehicles, and the FSI/prime contractor ecosystem. Travel as needed to partner meetings, industry events, and conferences. Remote role, but must be located within a commutable distance to Washington D.C.
What We're Looking For: 3-10 years of federal business development, capture support, or related experience. Working knowledge of the federal acquisition landscape and the FSI/prime contractor ecosystem. Prior experience at a federal-focused staffing, IT services, or technology company preferred. A proven self-starter who learns quickly and can clearly articulate their own approach to winning business. Military academy background, competitive athletics, or other high-performance pedigree is a strong plus. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must currently live in, or be willing to relocate to, the Washington, D.C. or Northern Virginia metro area. No security clearance required.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
