About the role

What You Will Do Develop, maintain, and enhance detailed bottom-up U.S. natural gas supply and demand models coveringthe Lower 48. Produce weekly, monthly, seasonal, and multi-year natural gas market forecasts. Analyze production, demand, LNG exports, storage, power burn, industrial demand, and weather-drivenconsumption trends. Build and maintain regional supply and demand models with particular focus on Texas, the Gulf Coast, Appalachia, and East Coast markets. Track and analyze interstate pipeline flows, transportation constraints, maintenance events, andinfrastructure expansions. Reconcile modeled balances against EIA data releases and develop insights regarding market divergencesand trends. Produce detailed market commentary and actionable research for the trading desk. Monitor evolving market fundamentals and identify opportunities arising from regional imbalances andstructural market shifts. Develop and maintain 2-3 year forward market outlooks incorporating infrastructure projects, productiontrends, demand growth, and regulatory developments. Partner closely with traders, risk managers, and portfolio managers to support trading decisions andportfolio positioning. Present supply and demand views, key assumptions, and market outlooks to senior leadership andinvestment professionals. We Want You On Our Team Because You... Have strong expertise in U.S. natural gas market fundamentals. Are fluent in constructing and maintaining bottom-up supply and demand models. Understand regional gas market dynamics, particularly in Texas, Appalachia, the Gulf Coast, and East Coast markets. Have experience analyzing interstate pipeline flows, transportation constraints, and storage economics. Can reconcile fundamental balances to EIA data and explain variances. Are comfortable translating large data sets into clear, actionable market views. Possess strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Communicate complex market dynamics clearly to both technical and commercial audiences. Thrive in a fast-paced trading environment where timely insights directly impact trading decisions. Ideally, You Have 5-10+ years of experience in natural gas market analysis, commodity research, physical trading, or energyconsulting. Experience supporting a proprietary trading desk, natural gas marketing group, producer, utility, merchantenergy company, or hedge fund. Advanced Excel modeling skills and experience working with large market datasets. Familiarity with pipeline flow data, EIA reporting, LNG market fundamentals, and storage analytics. Experience developing medium-term market forecasts (2-3 years forward). Knowledge of power market fundamentals and gas-to-power relationships. Experience with data visualization, statistical analysis, or programming tools such as Python, SQL, orsimilar platforms.
