About the role
Our client is seeking a creative and strategic E-commerce Content Strategist to elevate their online brand presence and product storytelling in East London. This role is responsible for developing and implementing a content strategy that drives engagement, supports SEO goals, and ultimately boosts conversion rates on their e-commerce platform. You will oversee the creation, curation, and optimization of all digital content, including website copy, product descriptions, blog posts, social media content, and visual assets. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with a deep understanding of how compelling content can influence customer purchasing decisions and build brand loyalty within the competitive e-commerce landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy aligned with e-commerce goals, target audience, and brand positioning. Oversee the creation, editing, and optimization of all website content, including product descriptions, landing pages, and informational articles. Plan and manage the editorial calendar for blog posts, social media updates, and email newsletters. Collaborate with design and marketing teams to ensure all content is visually appealing, on-brand, and effectively communicates product value. Implement SEO best practices into content creation to improve search engine rankings and organic traffic. Analyze content performance metrics, using data to refine strategy and improve engagement and conversion rates.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Content Strategist, Content Manager, or Copywriter, with a focus on e-commerce. Strong understanding of SEO principles, keyword research, and content optimization techniques. Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a portfolio showcasing effective content creation. Experience with content management systems (CMS) and familiarity with e-commerce platforms. Ability to analyze content performance data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
