Position Overview:
The Operating Engineer is a skilled technical professional responsible for the hands-on operation, maintenance, and repair of building systems in a premier event facility where exceptional technical performance and facility presentation are critical to client satisfaction. Reporting directly to the Chief Engineer (CE) or Facilities Manager (FM), this position executes the daily maintenance activities, preventive maintenance programs, and operational tasks that ensure reliable system performance and pristine facility conditions. This role combines traditional building engineering responsibilities with customer-facing support duties, requiring both technical competence and professional interpersonal skills. This position offers an excellent opportunity for facilities professionals who excel at hands-on technical work and value direct interaction with client teams. Working under the guidance of experienced leadership, the Operating Engineer develops expertise across diverse building systems while contributing immediately to facility operations and event success. This role provides clear pathways for professional growth through exposure to complex systems, advanced technologies, and the unique operational demands of a high-profile event environment. The ideal candidate brings solid technical fundamentals, strong work ethic, customer service aptitude, and eagerness to expand their skills in a dynamic, quality-focused facility.
