About the role
- Fill boxes with dunnage and seal securely to prevent damage in transit
- Sort packages by carrier and ship method
- Make sure packages are properly labeled
- Ensure items are placed in the correct parcel container
- Sort packages between box or envelope
- Build pallet of outgoing boxes stacking appropriately for shipping
- Place all flat envelopes in bags
- Load all outgoing packages onto truck
- Gather, stack and return empty totes to the pick zone locations
- Return all partially picked orders to the appropriate pick zones
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines
- Follow all company policies as outlined in the employee handbook
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and stocked with necessary supplies
- Job Requirements
- Operate an RF scanner
- In depth knowledge of the warehouse layout
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment sometimes for long hours
- Schedule flexibility to accommodate seasonal overtime requirements including weekend work
- Ability to work under pressure with strong motivation and a sense of urgency
- Must be able to handle stress that is involved in meeting deadlines due to tight scheduling
- Excellent dexterity and coordination
- Physical strength – Must be able to lift 30+ lbs frequently
- Physical stamina – Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods; Must be capable of twisting, stooping, squatting, bending, climbing and reaching above shoulder level on a frequent basis
- Must be able to count accurately and perform simple math
- Must be able to shift priorities easily
- Must be positive and friendly with ability to work in a team environment
- Forklift, pallet jack and hand truck operation required
- Performs other duties as assigned or requested
