Client Accounting Services Operations Assistant

A growing San Antonio CPA firm seeks a detail-oriented Client Accounting Services Operations Assistant to support daily bookkeeping, monthly closes, and client data management. This role ensures smooth workflow operations for the CAS team and delivers high-quality service to small business clients. Responsibilities Client Bookkeeping: Process accounts payable and receivable, handle bank and credit card reconciliations, and maintain general ledgers. Workflow Support: Organize client source documents, track recurring engagement deadlines, and assist with month-end and year-end close tasks. Client Communication: Act as a helpful point of contact for routine client inquiries regarding document requests and financial portal navigation. Operations & Tech: Maintain accurate records in practice management software and cloud accounting platforms (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Xero). Qualifications & Skills Experience: 1 to 3 years of general bookkeeping or accounting support experience, ideally within a CPA firm or professional services environment. Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent work history. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and cloud-based accounting software; familiarity with paperless office systems.
