Pay: $73–$77/hour DOE13-Week Contract Assignment
Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PMFlexible scheduling – mornings or evenings
Monday–Friday and/or weekends Excellent opportunity for an experienced Pathologists' Assistant to join the Anatomical Pathology Department of a major NYC hospital.
Responsibilities:
- Select and identify tissue for microscopic examination
- Describe, measure, and dictate gross findings using appropriate terminology Gross specimens and biopsies
- Determine appropriate fixative and decalcification procedures
- Photograph specimens as appropriate for documentation and specific use
- Work within a high-volume pathology department handling approximately 200 cases per day
- Utilize Epic and Cerner Millennium Required
- Active New York State DOH Pathologists' Assistant License
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- Ability to gross specimens and biopsies PreferredASCP certification
