Job Title Prepare electronic Post Conviction Writ records to be sent to the Criminal Court of Appeals, following all rules and statutes as provided by the Criminal Laws of Texas. Assist all customers via email, phone calls, or in person in a professional manner. Accomplishes section objectives in accordance with standard operating procedures and policies of the District Clerk's office. Works efficiently to achieve the goals of the District Clerk's office as outlined in the Strategic Plan and Mission Statement Harris County is an Equal Opportunity Employer This position is subject to a criminal history check. Requirements: All applicants must register and take the HRRM Clerical Skills Test and score a minimum of 80% with a typing speed of 35 W.P.M. and 80% accuracy.
Education and Experience: High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent from an accredited educational institution. Must possess intermediate computer skills in the following applications Microsoft Office. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Keyboards at 35 wpm. Must be able to work under strict time constraints and work overtime upon request. Must be a team player. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to handle customers in a polite and courteous manner. Must possess excellent verbal and written communications skills Must be able to maneuver, including lifting, climbing a ladder and moving a minimum of thirty (30) pounds. Must have good time management skills. Must be capable of working under stress. Must be eligible for employment in the United States. Testing will be required. (Grammar 80%, Typing 35 words per minute) at 80% accuracy. Qualifying education, experience, knowledge, and skills must be documented on your job application. General Information: Position Type and Typical Hours of Work: Regular Full-time | Monday Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.
Salary: $25.14 Hourly Based on 26 pay periods Physical Demands: Must be able to maneuver, including lifting, climbing ladders, and moving a minimum of thirty (30) lbs.
