About the role

About the Role: Flagship Global is looking for an experienced Senior Freight Broker to join our BOVA Fresh team in Boca Raton. This is a unique opportunity for someone who wants the stability of an established base of in-house freight while also having the opportunity to grow outside business, develop new shipper accounts, and expand their own book of business. You will help manage and execute Flagship Global’s existing freight while building a strong, dependable carrier network. At the same time, we are looking for someone with an entrepreneurial sales mindset who can identify new opportunities and help grow our overall freight and logistics business. Candidates who already have established carrier relationships and/or an existing book of shipper business are strongly encouraged to apply. What You'll DoManage and cover daily truckload freight for Flagship Global, including refrigerated and dry van shipments. Source, vet, onboard, and develop relationships with reliable carriers. Leverage existing carrier relationships and continue building a strong core carrier network. Negotiate spot and contract rates while balancing service, capacity, and profitability. Manage carrier relationships, including track and trace, appointment scheduling, problem resolution, and service performance. Develop relationships with shipping and receiving locations. Proactively manage exceptions, including breakdowns, missed appointments, claims, and service issues. Monitor freight-market conditions and adjust pricing and sourcing strategies accordingly. Maintain accurate TMS records, including rates, PODs, accessorials, and carrier compliance documentation. Develop new outside freight opportunities and shipper relationships. Prospect and bring new customers and freight into the organization. Leverage an existing book of business and carrier relationships, where applicable, to accelerate growth. Work with management to identify new lanes, customers, and opportunities to expand the company's logistics business.
What We're Looking For: Minimum 3 years of freight industry experience, preferably in freight brokerage, carrier sales, logistics sales, dispatch, or a similar role. Proven ability to build and manage strong carrier and shipper relationships. Experience developing new business and generating freight opportunities is highly desirable. An existing book of business and/or established carrier network is a significant plus. Strong negotiation skills and working knowledge of market rates by lane. Experience with refrigerated and food-grade freight is strongly preferred. Understanding of temperature requirements, appointment-heavy receivers, and strict OTIF expectations is a plus. Familiarity with carrier vetting and compliance, including authority, insurance, safety scores, and claims handling. Experience using TMS platforms and load boards such as DAT, Truckstop, or similar. Highly organized, responsive, and comfortable making decisions in a fast-moving environment. Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to both execute existing freight and create new business. Why Join UsUnlike a traditional brokerage position where you're starting with an empty desk, you'll have access to consistent in-house freight from day one. At the same time, we don't want to limit this position to simply covering existing loads. We're looking for someone who sees the bigger opportunity. The right candidate will have the ability to: Manage and optimize an established base of freight. Build and strengthen our carrier network. Develop new shipper relationships and outside freight. Bring existing customers and carrier relationships to the organization. Participate financially in the business they help generate. Help build and shape a growing logistics operation rather than simply working a shared load board. For an experienced freight broker or logistics salesperson with an established network or book of business, we are open to discussing a compensation structure that rewards the business and profitability you bring to the company.
How to Apply: Send your resume and cover letter along with a brief introduction describing your freight brokerage experience, the types of freight and lanes you know best, and any experience you have developing shipper accounts or managing a book of business. Existing carrier relationships or a portable book of business? We'd especially like to hear from you.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
