This territory includes Kansas City, Saint Joseph, Overland Park, Olathe, Westwood, Omaha, NE, Lincoln, NE, and the surrounding areas.Reporting to the Senior District Manager, the Clinical Account Executive (CAE) serves as the strategic leader of their territory. They combine deep clinical expertise, strategic account planning, business acumen, and purposeful execution to improve patient outcomes, advance the organization's mission, and support the brand objectives and business goals of the CLL and NHL Oncology Products. A CAE must be able to build trusted partnerships with customers, think like business owners, and collaborate across the oncology ecosystem to create long-term value for patients, customers, and the organization - which includes but is not limited to, responsible resource allocation, a commitment to operating principles and compliant, high ethical standards.Key Accountabilities/Core Job Responsibilities:SALES EXPERIENCE: Demonstrated history of delivering exceptional results through disciplined execution, accountability, and ownership. Preference for Oncology/Hematology experienceBUSINESS ACUMEN: Thinks strategically about customers, key accounts, and market dynamics to prioritize opportunities and maximize sustainable business impact across in-field teamsPURPOSEFUL EXECUTION: Consistently translates strategy into focused action, balancing urgency with discipline while executing with precisionLEARNING AGILITY: Rapidly learns complex scientific, clinical, and business concepts and confidently applies them in dynamic customer environmentsCOMMUNICATION: Simplifies complex clinical and business concepts into clear, compelling pointsRESILIENCE: Demonstrates grit, adaptability, and persistence while maintaining a positive, solutions-oriented approach in a competitive environmentINTELLECTUAL CURIOSITY: Naturally seeks to understand the science, the customer, and the business beyond what is requiredDevelop and execute a comprehensive territory business plan aligned with brand strategy and local customer needs.Build trusted relationships with hematologists, oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, administrators, and key account stakeholders.Demonstrate deep scientific and clinical expertise while delivering compliant, customer-focused engagements.Partner effectively with cross-functional colleagues to deliver coordinated customer experiences.Continuously evaluate territory performance using data, customer insights, and business analytics to optimize execution.Maintain the highest standards of integrity, compliance, and professionalism in every customer interaction.Complete all AbbVie required training and maintain adherence to all company policies and OEC/Legal proceduresContinuously develop clinical, business, and leadership capabilitiesAn essential requirement of the position is to meet health care industry representative credentialing requirements to gain entry into facilities and organizations that are in assigned territory. These HCIR credentialing requirements may include, but are not limited to, background checks, drug screens, and proof of immunization/vaccination for various diseases.Qualifications5+ years sales experience in pharma/biotech, medical device, or diagnosticsDesire and ability to take on larger roles faster than their peersCompetitive selling skillsDemonstrated ability to work within a highly collaborative, team environment.Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Persistency and grit with strong track record of succeeding in a challenging environmentDriving a personal auto or company car or truck.Valid driver's license: Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving requirements.Business travel, by air or car, is regularly requiredPreferred:Oncology experience, preferably in hematologic malignanciesBachelor's degree preferred?Account Management experience in any industrySpecialty Pharmacy experienceHealthcare industry experience, especially working with patients or consulting healthcare companiesPeople management or other leadership experienceMBA or other advanced degreeThe compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
