Position Summary:
We are looking for a dependable Diesel Mechanic to diagnose, adjust, repair, and overhaul a variety of diesel engines and heavy equipment. You will use diagnostic tools to pinpoint mechanical and electrical issues and complete quality repairs to minimize downtime. Monday through Friday hours with occasional callouts needed to repair trucks on site.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and troubleshoot diesel engine failures, electrical systems, and hydraulic components.
Perform routine scheduled maintenance, including oil changes, fluid checks, and brake services.
Repair or replace major components such as transmissions, differentials, steering, and suspension parts.
Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic readouts.
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed on work orders.
Keep a clean, safe, and organized workspace adhering to all shop safety rules.
Qualifications & Skills. Proven hands-on experience as a diesel mechanic or heavy-duty service technician.
Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, electronics, and air brake systems.
Proficiency using diagnostic software, multi-meters, and standard shop hand tools.
Valid driver's license; a commercial driver's license (CDL) is a plus.
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a diesel technology trade program is preferred.
Physical ability to lift heavy parts, stand for long periods, and work in various weather conditions.
