About the role
Technical Account Manager – Food Ingredients We are seeking a Technical Account Manager to join a growing food ingredients business focused on developing innovative, science-led solutions for food and beverage manufacturers. The company has built a strong portfolio across natural preservation, antioxidants, color protection, and other functional ingredient technologies, with a particular emphasis on helping customers solve formulation, stability, and shelf-life challenges. Operating with a highly entrepreneurial and collaborative culture, the business offers the pace and flexibility of a smaller organization while continuing to expand its technology portfolio and customer base across the U.S.This is a commercially focused role combining technical problem-solving, account development, and new business generation.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop new business and grow existing customer accounts across the food and beverage market. Lead technical discussions with R&D, innovation, quality, and product development teams. Support customers with ingredient selection, troubleshooting, product trials, and technical projects. Build and manage a strong opportunity pipeline, taking projects from initial conversation through to commercialisation. Develop pricing strategies and manage an individual sales budget. Identify new applications and market opportunities across natural preservation, antioxidants, color protection, and related functional ingredients.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience within the food, beverage, or functional ingredients industry. Experience in technical sales, account management, applications, R&D, or product development. Knowledge of natural colors, color stability, antioxidants, preservation, or related ingredients is highly desirable. Knowledge of categories within Meat, Fruit Preperations, and Beverages Strong technical aptitude with the ability to build credibility with R&D and technical customers. Commercially driven, self-motivated, and comfortable developing new business independently. What’s Offered: Competitive base salary plus bonus potential.
