Role Description:
The Operations Manager is a full-time, hybrid role based in the United States, with a combination of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility. This role oversees daily operations, including production scheduling, inventory management, and order fulfillment to ensure smooth and efficient workflows. The Operations Manager coordinates with cross-functional teams such as logistics, sales, and customer service to align priorities, resolve issues, and maintain high service standards. Responsibilities include monitoring performance metrics, identifying process improvements, implementing operational best practices, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality procedures. The role also involves supervising and coaching team members, managing vendor relationships, and supporting budget and resource planning to meet business goals.
Qualifications:
Experience in operations management, including production, inventory, or logistics oversight in a manufacturing, distribution, or related environment. Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage staffing schedules, and support employee development and performance. Strong skills in planning, organizing, and problem-solving, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Comfort using operational software, spreadsheets, and reporting tools to track metrics and inform decisions. Knowledge of safety standards and quality control practices relevant to industrial or construction materials. Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external partners. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Prior experience in the stone, building materials, or construction industry is beneficial but not required.
