About the role
To support the Corporate Financial Reporting team, the full-time Senior Accountant, IL Licensed will prepare statutory financial statements, advise on accounting treatments, and collaborate with auditors, all while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
Prepare quarterly and annual statutory financial statements to meet regulatory reporting requirements
Advise operational segments on accounting treatment and support internal and external audit processes
Identify and lead process improvement projects while assisting with state filing requirements as needed
Required qualifications
BA/BS degree in Accounting
3+ years of experience in financial reporting, with insurance or financial services experience preferred
Familiarity with statutory accounting principles, US GAAP, and SEC filing requirements
Experience with Workday Financial Management and Workiva is a plus
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Excel and experience navigating a large ERP environment
