About the role

Job Description: We are seeking a reliable and mechanically skilled Hydraulic Mechanic / Bucket Truck & Crane Technician to inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic systems on bucket trucks, cranes, and related heavy equipment. This role is ideal for a hands-on technician with strong problem-solving skills, a safety-first mindset, and experience working with hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical components.
Key Responsibilities: Inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair hydraulic systems on bucket trucks, cranes, and other fleet or heavy equipment. Troubleshoot hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical issues using sound diagnostic practices. Repair or replace hydraulic pumps, hoses, cylinders, valves, fittings, and related components. Perform preventative maintenance and safety checks to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently. Read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and equipment documentation as needed. Test equipment after repairs to confirm proper operation and safety. Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, inspections, and maintenance performed. Work independently and as part of a team while following company safety procedures.
Qualifications: Experience working on hydraulic systems, bucket trucks, cranes, aerial equipment, or heavy equipment is preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to diagnose equipment problems efficiently. Basic understanding of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems. Ability to work safely around heavy equipment and follow proper lockout/tagout and shop safety practices. Ability to lift, bend, climb, kneel, and work in shop or field conditions as required. Valid driver’s license is a must. High school diploma, GED, trade school training, or equivalent hands-on experience preferred.
Tools & Equipment: Technicians are expected to provide their own basic hand tools. Specialized tools, diagnostic equipment, and job-specific equipment will be provided by the company.
