Client Overview:
Our client is a well-established higher education organization that is looking to add a Senior Grants Accountant. This organization is looking for someone professional who can work on a team just as effectively as they can work independently. Grant accounting experience is required, and nonprofit and government accounting experience is a plus. Salary/Hourly Rate$35/hr - $40/hr
Position Overview:
Applicants must have strong attention to detail and analytical skills. The ideal candidate will have previous experience with nonprofit general accounting and grant accounting.
Responsibilities:
Of The Senior Grants Accountant Perform matching, batching, coding, and entering of invoices. Manage grant accounting activities and ensure compliance with funding requirements. Research and resolve accounts payable issues with customers and vendors. Update and reconcile sub-ledgers to the general ledger. Support nonprofit and government accounting functions. Required Experience/Skills For The Senior Grants Accountant Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable working independently. Strong Excel skills. Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities. Preferred Experience/Skills For The Senior Grants Accountant Experience with ERP software. Experience with nonprofit and government accounting software.
Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
