About the role
Production Associate Our client, a leading food distribution company, is seeking Production Associates for a long-term contract assignment in Hartford, CT. This position is responsible for efficiently grading products for quality control and preparing products for shipment by repacking into smaller increments. Multiple openings available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Grade product for quality control and repack cases into smaller increments
- Assemble boxes, label, stack, and stock packages for shipment
- Clean and sanitize the work area in accordance with sanitation and safety procedures for handling and production of food products, following Safe Quality Food (SQF) standards
- Perform work assignments at acceptable productivity levels
Required Qualifications:
- Proven ability to work independently
- Ability to perform work assignments at an acceptable productivity level
- Steel-toe or composite safety boots covering the ankle (required on Day 1)
- Ability to work in a refrigerated cooler environment (4555 degrees Fahrenheit)
Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED (not required) No prior experience necessary; training provided
About the Role
Contract Duration: Long-term contingent assignment, approximately 2,560 total hours
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM; candidates are expected to remain on shift if work is still to be completed
Location: Hartford, CT (on-site, cooler environment)
Travel: None required (0% travel)
