Chemical Operator - Operator B We are seeking a Chemical Operator to work in the Dispersions & Pigments (ED) business unit as part of our Monaca, PA manufacturing site. You will become part of a team of operators who are responsible for meeting daily production requirements to support customer needs. You will be expected to work safely, following both verbal and written work instructions and procedures as well. Come create chemistry with us! Successfully conduct routine inspections and monitor equipment such as pumps, storage tanks, instrumentation, utilities, safety equipment, tools, etc. Responsible for preparing equipment for operation, maintenance, cleaning and troubleshooting any equipment problems. Additionally, use your working knowledge of the mechanics and operations of different types of process equipment (pumps, valves, agitators, instrumentation, controls, etc.) During your rotating 12-hour shift as a Chemical Operator Leverage your knowledge and experience in an industrial chemical plant or Chemical Technician training as well as possible experience using Distributed Control Systems (DCS), will contribute to your success in this role. Your familiarity with safety practices and techniques related to the chemical industry (LOTO, confined space entry, hot work, etc) in addition to following operation procedures, site standards and policies will ensure efficient operation of the site. You will also support and participate in site ISO, OSHA PSM, RMP, and RCMS programs. You will effectively work indoors, outdoors, and in all conditions with the uses of ladders, while potentially lifting, pulling and operating manual process equipment. Additional, flexibility on working additional hours and/or experience with forklift operation is helpful. Utilize your knowledge to transfer, monitor and control raw material and product flows in addition to handling and transferring materials for m bulk storage tanks, tote bins, drums, bags etc. to adjust and make products. Additionally, taking product sample for quality control testing Formula for Success Process Technology degree plus 1-2 years of industrial/chemical/manufacturing or steel experience OR High School diploma/GED plus 3-5 years of industrial/chemical/manufacturing or steel experience Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs, climb stairs and ladders, stand for extended periods of time, work indoors & outdoors and transfer product with the use of mobile equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) Must be able to work in confined space, hot work, LOTO, follow operating procedures Must have basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Products - Outlook, Excel & Word Must be willing and able to work rotating 12 hours shifts (6am- 6pm) and flexible to overtime when needed
