About the role
- Monitor/manage aging reports as well as identify and prioritize accounts requiring immediate collection action for the Captive
- Track delinquency rates, cure performance, and recovery outcomes
- Ensure compliance with applicable consumer credit and collections regulations, including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA)
- Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to execute repossession, enhancement requirements and loss-mitigation strategies
- Contact customers regarding overdue payments via phone, email, and written correspondence
- Investigate payment discrepancies and resolve billing disputes in coordination with collection team
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience 2-4 years of experience in Auto finance with hands-on collections or credit experience
- Portfolio risk management, including delinquency tracking and trend analysis
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines simultaneously
- Bilingual in Spanish, Mandarin, or French a plus
