Job Description: Caballero Casting is searching for a professional male chef in Louisiana to serve as a cooking and hand double for a lead actor in the upcoming horror film TASTE. Filming is scheduled to take place in New Orleans and Bush, Louisiana, and the production needs someone with genuine professional kitchen experience who can make culinary work look completely natural on camera. This specialized film role will feature close-up cooking sequences in which the selected chef performs precise food preparation and professional kitchen techniques on behalf of a principal actor. Candidates should be confident with knives, cookware, ingredients, and the fluid movements expected from an experienced chef.
Job Responsibilities: Serve as the cooking and hand double for a lead actor in TASTE.
Perform realistic culinary actions for close-ups and other camera-focused sequences. Demonstrate professional food preparation, cooking, knife handling, and kitchen techniques as required by each scene. Replicate specific hand positions and movements to create a seamless match with the principal performer. Take direction from the director, camera department, and production team. Repeat cooking actions consistently across multiple takes and camera angles. Maintain continuity of movements, food preparation, and prop placement throughout filming. Follow professional on-set and kitchen safety practices.
Requirements: Seeking a Caucasian male appearing in his 40s-50s.
Must be a professionally trained or experienced chef with substantial real-world kitchen experience. Must be comfortable performing culinary techniques while being filmed in close-up. Applicants must provide a summary of their professional culinary background, including previous positions, restaurants or establishments, and length of employment. Must have reliable transportation and be able to work in both New Orleans and Bush, Louisiana. Must be dependable, professional, and able to repeat precise movements for continuity. Compensation $300 for up to 12 hours of work.
