We are recruiting for an EHS Specialist supporting a manufacturing operation in the Elgin / Huntley, IL area. This role leans heavily toward the environmental side of EHS: hazardous waste, solvents, wastewater, air permits/emissions, regulatory compliance, reporting and audits. You’ll also stay close to the plant floor, supporting inspections, training, LOTO and day-to-day safety needs. The formal role is responsible for regulatory compliance, EHS audits, environmental reporting, hazardous-material handling and employee training. We’re looking for someone who has: Manufacturing EHS experience — ideally in a high-speed environment Strong environmental compliance experience Exposure to air, waste, water, hazardous materials and regulatory agencies Experience supporting internal/external auditsA related bachelor’s degree The ability to work independently, stay organized and communicate from the plant floor to leadership This is a hands-on individual contributor role — not a position where you simply delegate the work.
