Job Description: Skid Builder Position: Skid Builder Shift: 1st Shift Pay: $ 19.00 per hour Hours: 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Thursday Location: Elkhart Overview: We are seeking a diligent and skilled Skid Builder to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to construct skids according to specified dimensions. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, capable of working independently, and committed to maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Key Responsibilities: Read and interpret skid dimensions paperwork to ensure accurate construction. Cut and nail skids together based on provided specifications. Utilize the best pieces of wood to minimize waste and maintain high-quality standards. Work independently to meet production targets and maintain efficiency. Keep the work area clean and organized to ensure a safe working environment. Assist in other areas of the facility as needed to support overall operations.
Qualifications: Ability to read and understand measurement specifications. Experience in woodworking, carpentry, or a related field is preferred. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Physical stamina to stand for long periods and handle manual labor tasks.
