About the role
- Demonstrated, deep working knowledge of OASIS-E/E1 scoring and CMS guidance — this will be assessed during the interview processHCS-O or COS-C certification strongly preferred; if not currently held, must be obtained within 90 days of hire
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on OASIS completion or auditing experience
- Background in nursing, PT, OT, SLP, MDS, or health information managementICD-10 coding experience strongly preferred
- Strong analytical skills — you'll be reviewing charts for inconsistencies others miss
- QAPI, Lean, or Six Sigma exposure
- Prior experience training clinicians on documentation improvement
- EducationHigh school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferredHCS-O or COS-C certification preferred at hire; required within 90 days if not already held
- Strong written/verbal communication for staff feedback and training
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software quickly
- Highly organized, self-directed, comfortable managing multiple priorities
