============================================================POSITION : Structural Engineer============================================================Kage Engineers, PLLC | Phoenix, Arizona | On-site/HybirdABOUT THE ROLEWe are hiring a structural engineer who wants to own projects, not just pieces of them. At Kage you will carry a design from first calculations through construction, working side by side with the firm's principal. Projects range from industrial buildings to equipment platforms and renovation work, and you will get broad exposure much earlier than you would at a large firm.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Analyze and design structural systems for new construction, additions, and modifications to existing structural.- Prepare calculations, reports, and construction documents, and coordinate drawings with our Revit team.- Evaluate existing structures and develop practical retrofit and repair solutions.- Handle construction-phase work: RFIs, submittal reviews, and site observations.- Communicate directly with clients, architects, and contractors.- Perform third-party special inspections on site in accordance with the approved construction documents.- As you grow, take on project management and help bring in new work.
WHAT YOU BRING:
B.S. in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering (M.S. a plus).- 2–6 years of structural design experience on building projects.- Design experience in at least two of: structural steel, reinforced concrete.- Working knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, and the governing material codes.- PE license, or EIT on track to licensure; SE is a plus.- Clear writing and the confidence to explain engineering decisions to non-engineers.- Experience with ETABS / SAP2000.============================================================ABOUT KAGE ENGINEERS============================================================Kage Engineers, PLLC is a structural engineering firm located in Arizona.
