Role Description:
This full-time, on-site Electrician role is based in Lake Huntington, NY and involves performing a wide range of electrical installation, maintenance, and repair tasks. Day-to-day responsibilities include installing wiring, fixtures, panels, and equipment; diagnosing electrical issues; and completing troubleshooting and repairs in residential and commercial settings. The Electrician will read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams, ensure all work complies with local and national electrical codes, and maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. The role also involves communicating with clients and team members about job status, safety considerations, and recommended improvements, while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
Strong foundation in electricity and practical electrical work, with the ability to safely install, modify, and service electrical systems. Experience in maintenance & repair and troubleshooting of residential and commercial electrical systems and equipment. Knowledge of electrical engineering principles or applied electrical theory as they relate to field work is beneficial. Valid electrician license or certification in New York State, or eligibility to obtain required credentials. Familiarity with NEC and local electrical codes, safety regulations, and standard industry practices. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation, and to use standard electrical tools and testing equipment. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable transportation to the Lake Huntington, NY job site and flexibility to work occasional overtime as needed.
