About the role

About the Role: We're looking for a Senior AVEVA/OSIsoft PI Administrator to join our growing team. In this role, you'll own a large-scale PI environment of 1.5M+ tags that supports 24x7 critical operations across our Electric, Gas, and Steam Control Centers. If you have deep PI System expertise, a strong high-availability mindset, and enjoy bridging OT and enterprise analytics, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do:
  • Build, maintain, and enhance an enterprise PI System with 1.5M+ PI tags
  • Implement and support high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) for PI Data Archive, PI AF, and PI VisionDesign PI AF element templates, elements, analytics, notifications, and event frames
  • Develop dashboards and displays in PI Vision and Process
  • BookConfigure and manage PI interfaces and connectors, including PI API, OPC DA/UA, RDBMS, PI to PI, and PI DNP3Deploy and administer PI Integrator for Business Analytics (PI Integrator for BA)
  • Create dashboards, BI reports, and applications using PI SDK, AF SDK, PI OLEDB, and PowerShellIntegrate enterprise business systems and OT platforms, including OMS and SCADA, with the PI System
  • Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions, always with safety in mind
  • Lead configuration, coding, testing, and deployment for PI Historian enhancements and integrations
  • Manage technical aspects of assigned projects, including planning, risk mitigation, and status communication
  • Develop code for Control Center applications as needed
  • Monitor servers and maintain continuous availability of the PI Historian
  • Participate in a scheduled 24x7x365 alert response rotation
  • Review and update procedures and disaster recovery documentation
  • Follow ITIL practices and use ServiceNow for incident, problem, and change management
  • What You Bring
  • Expertise with the AVEVA/OSIsoft PI System, including PI Asset Framework, PI Asset Analytics, PI Data Archive, PI Vision, PI Notifications, and PI Event Frames
  • Proficiency with PI interfaces and connectors: PI to PI, PI DNP3, OPC DA/UA, PI API, and RDBMS integrations
  • Hands-on experience implementing and supporting HA and DR for PI components and underlying infrastructure
  • Programming skills in C#, .NET, Visual Studio, SSIS, SQL, Power BI, and PowerShell, plus API/adapter integrations
  • Ability to build dashboards, BI reports, and custom tools using PI SDK, AF SDK, and PI OLEDBStrong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills in a 24x7 operational environment, with a focus on safety and reliability
  • Working knowledge of ITIL processes and experience with ServiceNow or similar tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including clear documentation and presentations
Nice to Have:
  • Advanced Power BI skills and data modeling experience
  • Azure DevOps for CI/CD, backlog, and release management
  • Microsoft Power Automate, MS Visio, and project management experience
  • Familiarity with .NET Framework 4.6+ and .NET 8+ for enterprise development
  • Work Schedule
Hybrid: onsite Tuesday through Thursday, remote Monday and Friday. This role includes participation in a 24x7x365 on-call alert response rotation.
