About the Role: Furniture Mart in Houma, LA is looking for a hardworking and dependable Retail Furniture Stockroom Associate to join our team! This is a great opportunity to be a key part of a dynamic retail environment where your behind-the-scenes efforts keep the showroom running smoothly and customers happy.
Responsibilities:
  • Receive, unload, and process incoming furniture shipments and deliveries
  • Organize and maintain stockroom inventory for efficient product retrieval
  • Assist with furniture assembly and preparation for showroom floor display
  • Pull and stage merchandise for customer pickups and delivery orders
  • Assist sales staff as needed
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized showroom and stockroom environment
Requirements:
  • Previous warehouse, stockroom, or retail experience preferred
  • Ability to lift and move heavy furniture items (50+ lbs) regularly
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work a flexible retail schedule including weekends
  • Ability to operate basic warehouse equipment such as hand trucks and dollies
  • Team-oriented with a positive, can-do attitude
