About the role
- Welcome patients and complete check in, registration, and front desk duties
- Complete medical insurance verification, eligibility checks, and demographic entry
- Communicate with patients and families during high stress situations
- Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR or EPM system
- Coordinate paperwork and collaborate with clinical teams for smooth patient flow
- Manage phone calls, patient questions, and follow up needs
- Maintain a professional, organized front desk environment
- One to two years of medical insurance verification experience
- Two to three years of medical customer service or front desk experience
- Experience with EMR or EPM systems and MS OfficeBLS certification from the American Heart Association within sixty days
- High School Diploma or GEDMust be flexible for days, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication and active listening skills
- Comfortable working in a fast paced emergency room environment
