As a leading manufacturer of hand soaps, sanitizers, and skin care products, we are seeking a Director of Manufacturing who is passionate about operational excellence, people development, and continuous improvement. Based in our LEED® Silver Certified, FDA-registered facility, this leadership role will guide manufacturing strategy and execution while building a culture focused on safety, quality, efficiency, and teamwork.
In this Role You Will
Develop and execute manufacturing strategies supporting safety, quality, cost, capacity, and order-fulfillment objectives.
Establish effective operating systems, standardized work, performance metrics, escalation processes, and continuous improvement practices.
Champion Lean Manufacturing principles and foster a unified “One-Operation” culture.
Develop manufacturing managers and supervisors through coaching, capability building, succession planning, and performance management.
Partner with Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, EHS, and other teams to meet customer demand and support business growth.
Use SAP, Redzone, Master Control, and other systems to support data-driven decisions.
Maintain operational readiness for regulatory and customer requirements, including FDA, EPA, OSHA, and Health Canada.
Build a safety-first culture across all shifts and lead efforts to proactively identify and reduce operational risk.
Requirements
What You’ll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management, business, or a related field;
10 or more years of progressive manufacturing experience in a high-mix, complex-SKU environment.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, production scheduling, material flow, inventory control, Lean principles, and continuous improvement.
Significant skills in team building and the effective leadership of managers and supervisors.
Proven analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Proficiency with ERP, Quality Management Systems, Microsoft Office, and other business platforms.
Experience in a cGMP-regulated environment is strongly preferred.
