About the role
Position Summary:
This is a hybrid (up to 3 days per week in the office in Hackensack, NJ), full-time, 12-month engagement (1099 contract).Claims and Clinical Strategy Lead will be working on claims on all marketing materials and support any up-claim opportunities for the existing portfolio of products Face, Skin and Cotton brands to ensure the products are competitive and compelling from a claims standpoint. They will partner closely across functions (e.g. marketing, R&D, Regulatory, Packaging, Legal) and with external testing laboratories and the external network of suppliers. In addition to a strong understanding of product claims, this role calls for both creativity and fluency in business acumen.
Primary Responsibilities:
Claims review, management of approval process Claims substantiations and technical memos Competitive claims landscaping Management of sample production for in-vivo and in-vitro studies Review of clinical and in-vitro testing reports
Required Qualifications:
4 -10 years of proven industry experience (skin/personal care, cosmetics) with BS or 2- 8 years of experience with MS.Understanding of GxPs and FDA Compliance requirements. Excellent communication skills, including spoken and written English. Ability to partner effectively across a diverse set of business partners and customers to deliver key results in a timely manner. Entrepreneurial; Business owner mentality, willing to be hands-on and contribute as one team. Critical thinking and comprehensive business acumen.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous regulatory experience Experience with face care, skin care and skin cleansing claims substantiations Understanding of formulation technology and cosmetic chemistry Experience in formulation / product / process development in the cosmetic or drug regulatory classifications Personal Attributes Positive and energetic individual with a business acumen and strong sense of urgency to achieve results Consumer-centric, creative, and design-oriented Inquisitive individual who has a history of seeking out best practices and successfully assimilating them into their organization Invokes trust, collaboration, shared accountability, and continuous improvement with the ability to quickly develop trust and loyalty at all levels in the organization and with external partners Knows what excellence looks like and how to get there Ability to develop and implement strategy, with a high bias for execution and activation in this highly hands-on organization Demonstrated track record of problem solving and priority setting
