About the role
Each summer, Camp OTX hires Instructor Specialists in a variety of program areas. These team members have the unique opportunity to teach and coach in their specialty while also building relationships and contributing to the overall Camp OTX program.
Instructor Specialists are responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and exciting operation of their area. Daily duties include, but are not limited to:
Preparing for Morning Activities in their specialty
Teaching and Coaching Morning Activities
Leading private lessons and specialty clinics
Maintaining equipment and facilities related to their area
Assisting with the general Camp OTX program when not directly involved in their specialty
Instructor Specialists gain valuable coaching and teaching experience while working under the guidance of full-time Camp OTX staff. Depending on the program area, certifications or advanced experience may be required.
This role offers the chance to work in a fun, Christ-centered environment alongside other passionate college students. The hours are long and the work is challenging, but the experience is incredibly rewarding.
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
