Director of Tax Planning & Strategy | High-Net-Worth Tax Professionals A leading boutique wealth management firm is seeking a Director of Tax Planning & Strategy to serve as a senior advisor on complex planning matters affecting ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families. This individual will focus primarily on sophisticated tax planning while partnering with advisors and clients on broader wealth management, estate planning, liquidity, lending, and risk management considerations. THIS IS NOT A COMPLIANCE ROLE!!
Key Responsibilities: Serve as a senior resource on complex tax and wealth planning matters. Partner with advisory teams to identify planning opportunities and develop client-specific strategies. Review tax returns, trusts, estate documents, and financial plans to provide actionable recommendations. Advise on individual, trust, estate, business-owner, charitable, and cross-border tax planning issues. Participate in client and prospective client meetings and coordinate with external advisors. Develop planning frameworks, educational content, and thought leadership for clients and internal teams. Maintain relationships with attorneys, tax professionals, insurance specialists, and other trusted advisors. Monitor tax law developments and emerging planning strategies relevant to UHNW families.
Qualifications: CPA10+ years of experience advising high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families. Deep expertise in individual income tax, trust and estate taxation, and complex wealth planning.
Ideal Background: Senior Manager, Director, or Partner-level tax professional from a private client tax practice, multifamily office, wealth management platform, or family office serving ultra-high-net-worth clients.
