About the role
HR Assistant We are seeking an organized, dependable, and people-focused part-time HR Assistant to provide administrative support to the Human Resources department and occasional assistance with payroll-related activities. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in recruiting, onboarding, employee records, training coordination, benefits administration, employee engagement, and payroll support. Responsibilities include scheduling interviews, preparing new-hire materials, maintaining HR files, creating reports and correspondence, supporting employee events, and protecting confidential information. Coordinate interviews and communicate with candidates. Prepare onboarding and orientation materials for new employees. Maintain employee files, training records, and HR documentation. Support employee events, training sessions, and engagement activities. Prepare letters, reports, spreadsheets, forms, and presentations. Distribute policies, benefits information, and employee communications. Provide occasional administrative support for payroll-related activities. Assist employees with general questions and refer sensitive matters to Human Resources. Protect confidential employee and company information. Assist with additional HR projects as assigned. High school diploma or equivalent. Strong interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality. Dependable attendance, professionalism, and consistent follow-through. Administrative, receptionist, office support, or customer service experience preferred. Manufacturing experience is preferred but not required. Previous HR experience is not required.
