Regional Sales Manager – Public Safety Technology (Remote)Position SummaryThe Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for driving new business growth by selling mission-critical software solutions to Law Enforcement agencies, including Sheriff's Offices and Police Departments. This role will manage a defined territory, develop new customer relationships, and lead prospects through the full sales lifecycle from discovery through contract execution. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software/technology sales within the Public Safety industry, a proven ability to sell complex solutions, and established relationships with law enforcement decision-makers. This is a remote-based position with candidates required to reside within the assigned territory's time zone. Key ResponsibilitiesProspect, qualify, and close new business opportunities within the Law Enforcement marketManage the full sales cycle, including discovery calls, virtual presentations, software demonstrations, proposals, negotiations, and contract executionBuild and maintain a strong sales pipeline through proactive prospecting and relationship developmentLearn and effectively communicate the value of mission-critical public safety technology solutionsDevelop relationships with key decision-makers including Sheriffs, Police Chiefs, Command Staff, CIOs, CTOs, 911 Directors, and other public safety leadersUnderstand agency technology needs, funding priorities, and purchasing processes to influence buying decisionsRespond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs)Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and public safety events as neededMaintain accurate CRM records, opportunity tracking, forecasting, and reportingConsistently achieve or exceed assigned sales quotasRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Technology, or related field preferred; equivalent sales experience considered5+ years of successful software solution sales experience selling into Police Departments, Sheriff's Offices, or Public Safety agenciesProven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotasExperience managing multi-state territoriesStrong understanding of Public Safety technology solutions and law enforcement purchasing environmentsExisting network of relationships within Law Enforcement/Public Safety agencies preferredExperience conducting virtual software presentations and demonstrationsAbility to manage complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholdersStrong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skillsAbility to quickly learn new technology platforms and competitive positioningAbility to work independently in a remote environmentTechnical SkillsExperience using CRM systems for opportunity management, forecasting, and reportingProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and TeamsComfortable using Windows-based technology and remote collaboration toolsWork EnvironmentFully remote positionCandidates must reside within the assigned territory/time zoneLimited travel required (less than 10%)Primarily focused on virtual selling, customer meetings, and relationship developmentCompensation$100,000 base salary plus commissionCompetitive uncapped earning potential based on performanceTerritory OptionsWestern Region: Candidates must reside in the Western or Mountain Time ZoneCentral Region: Candidates must reside in the Central Time ZoneType: Direct HireCategory: SalesDate Posted: 2026-08-12
