Assignment Details: Minimum Years of Experience: Less than 1 year
Requirements:
  • General Certifications (BLS/BCLS)
  • Registry as Histology Technician with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or equivalent
  • Experience with LIS and HIS computer systems, tissue processor, embedding center, automatic stainer, automated coverslipper, analytic balance, automated microtome, microwave, microscope, telephone, tissue floatation bath, volumetric glassware, cryostat, and recycler
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs
Responsibilities: Perform histological procedures in accordance with established protocols. Prepare and process tissue samples for analysis. Maintain equipment and ensure laboratory cleanliness and safety protocols are followed. Assist in the development and implementation of quality control measures. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow.
