Overview:
Join our dynamic team as an Over-the-Road (OTR) Driver and experience the thrill of navigating long-haul routes across the country! This is a Monday - Friday role and we try to get you home for the weekends. In this vital role, you will operate tractor-trailers, ensure timely and safe delivery of freight while adhering to all federal and state regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your driving skills, enjoy the open road, and be a key player in our transportation network.
Responsibilities:
Safely operate tractor-trailers on over-the-road routes, covering extensive distances across multiple states.
Navigate efficiently using GPS systems and route planning tools to ensure timely deliveries.
Staging freight for unloading with proper manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo integrity and safety compliance.
Comply with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), and hazardous materials regulations during all phases of transportation.
Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety and operational standards.
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and cargo manifests in accordance with legal requirements.
Requirements:
Valid commercial driver's license (CDL Class A) with a clean driving record.2-3 years proven experience in commercial truck driving, especially with route driving over long distances.
Ability to operate manual transmission trucks and tractor-trailers confidently.
Knowledge of GPS navigation systems and logistics cargo handling procedures.
Experience with truck loading/unloading processes for freight including flatbed or tanker loads.
Strong understanding of DOT regulations, FMCSA guidelines, and safety standards for commercial driving.
Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks related to load & unload activities.
