Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
Under supervision, the Apprentice Ironworker is responsible for completing tasks related to structural iron, steel erection, and ornamental Iron work while working diligently to complete tasks in a timely and quality manner while learning the trade and practicing/studying to become proficient in: Welding, Grinding and Finishing, Rigging, Connecting, Layout, and Reading Prints, Safety Unloading, shake-out and erection of structural and miscellaneous iron from trucks Detail Work may include installing angle and bent plate, welding clips, joists, tube steel or angle kickers; installing safety cable and safety posts; or shaking out and spreading joists and long spans Pull, push, or pry steel members into approximate positions for bolting or welding into place Laying deck and securing by welding or Tek Screws Team work focused Attendance and Productivity
Required Skills:
Knowledgeable in Stick Welding, Torching, and Grinding Ability to meet physical requirements of the job i.e., working at heights, long periods of standing, walking, bending, climbing, using hand tools, wearing safety harness and tool belt, exposure to weather, etc.
Helpful Experience:
Responsible and accountable for their own personal safety and the safety of all co-workers Able to stop work on any task or series of tasks whenever an unsafe condition or situation is anticipated or is observed Maintain equipment and tools to ensure long lasting use Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructionsCCI Required Training Field Employees:· Training provided at no cost to employee to be completed after hire date: OSHA 10 Hour Iron Worker OSHA training Forklift Training Boom and Scissor Lift Training Rigging

Pay:
Starting at $20.00 – $30.00 depending on experience with potential of increase to $29.00 over time Opportunity for growth through promotion into leadership/foreman positions
