This individual will play a key role in the preconstruction process, ensuring accurate bids and cost projections to support business growth and project success.Job Description:The Estimator will be responsible for reviewing plans, evaluating labor and material needs, and preparing accurate cost estimates for electrical construction projects. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to analyze technical drawings, and sound judgment when determining project feasibility and profitability.Key Responsibilities:Review and analyze blueprints, specifications, and codes to develop accurate project estimatesCalculate required materials, equipment, and labor for electrical projectsPrepare competitive and compliant bids in line with company standardsMonitor labor and material pricing trends to maintain accurate cost databasesProvide recommendations to optimize project efficiency and profitabilityCollaborate with preconstruction and project management teams to ensure alignment on scope and estimatesEvaluate whether to build in-house or subcontract certain project componentsQualifications:2+ years of commercial estimating and project management experience within electrical constructionSolid understanding of electrical trade practices and NEC codesProficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and estimating software such as AccubidStrong analytical skills and attention to detail for precise estimatingExcellent written and verbal communication abilitiesAdditional Details:Employment Type: Direct HireStart Date: ASAPReports To: Preconstruction ManagerSystems Used: Greenhouse, Vista/Viewpoint, Microsoft OfficePerks:Comprehensive benefits with majority employer coverageUnlimited PTO plan with flexibilityAnnual bonus potential (10%)401(k) retirement plan with company matchCompany credit card for approved expensesCareer growth opportunities with a supportive leadership teamAddison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
