About the role
Parts Department DriverOur Parts Department is looking for a full or part driver.
Job Description:
- Delivery and Pickup: Safely transport automotive parts from the dealership to customers, and pick up returns, cores, and warranty items.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate delivery logs, obtain customer signatures, and ensure invoices match the items delivered.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance of the delivery vehicle (e.g., checking oil, fuel, tire pressure) and keep it clean.
- Customer Service: Act professionally and courteously when interacting with mechanics, body shop staff, and other clients.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies
- Key Qualifications and Requirements
- Driver's License & Record: A valid driver's license with a clean driving record (MVR) for the past 3-5 years is required.
Education:
A high school diploma or GED.Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, load, and move parts and boxes frequently, often weighing up to 5075 lbs.
Experience:
Prior driving experience (1-2 years) in a business-to-business (B2B) or automotive environment preferred, but not required
Technical Skills:
Familiarity with local routes and proficiency with GPS navigation systems. Knowledge: Basic understanding of automotive parts is preferred not required
Age Requirements:
