Position Overview: This position requires an active Secret clearance and the ability to obtain a TSA clearance. The HVA Assessor plans and conducts assessments of High Value Asset (HVA) systems and keeps each system’s HVA risk record continuously up to date. This position works directly with system owners and government staff in HVA system meetings. The minimum 6 years of experience reflects the need for proven assessment skills on mission-critical federal systems.
Responsibilities:
  • Reviews HVA pre-assessment reports.
  • Plans, executes, and reports on HVA assessments.
  • Leads and participates in HVA system meetings.
  • Maintains a continuously current HVA risk record for each system.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
  • BA/BS degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum Experience Required:
  • Minimum 6 years of cybersecurity assessment experience.
  • Demonstrated experience assessing HVA systems under CISA and OMB M-19-03 requirements.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 and HVA overlay controls.
  • Demonstrated ability to write clear assessment reports for senior government stakeholders. Additional Experience: CISSP, CISA, or CGRC certification. GIAC certifications (e.g., GCIH, GPEN).
