About the role
Job Description:
The Medical Scribe plays a crucial role in supporting family practice physicians by accurately documenting patient encounters and ensuring detailed clinical records. Working continuously in-person alongside a single physician during 8-hour shifts, the scribe enhances the clinical workflow with precise use of medical terminology and eClinical Works software while maintaining strict HIPAA compliance.
Responsibilities:
Document patient encounters and medical histories in real-time Chart patient data accurately using eClinical Works Utilize medical terminology correctly for precise recordkeeping Support clinical workflow by assisting physicians with documentation Ensure accuracy and completeness of patient medical records Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance in all documentation Collaborate closely with a single physician during patient visits Enter patient history data with limited clinical autonomy
Preferred Qualifications:
1+ years of experience in medical scribing High school diploma or equivalent Proficiency with medical terminology and clinical documentation Experience using eClinical Works software Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards Strong attention to detail and communication skills Effective time management and teamwork abilities Bilingual capabilities in English and Spanish or English and Cambodian\nCompany
