Locum Adult Social Worker - Gloucester Locality Team Gloucestershire | 6-Month Contract | £35 per hour + £150 weekly accommodation/mileage allowance Hoop Social Work are recruiting for a full-time Locum Social Worker to join an Adult Social Care Locality Team in Gloucester on an initial 6-month contract. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Adult Social Worker looking for a well-supported role offering agile working, capped caseloads and a competitive hourly rate.
About the role: As a Social Worker, you'll work alongside adults to understand what matters to them and help them maintain control over their lives, either with the right support in place or as independently as possible. You'll work with people experiencing a range of circumstances, including those requiring support during periods of crisis. The service uses the Three Conversations approach, focusing on people's strengths, relationships, networks and the communities around them. You'll also work as part of a multi-agency environment and may be involved in court-related work. The role offers: £35 per hour £150 weekly accommodation/mileage allowance (T&Cs apply) Capped caseload of 25 Guaranteed minimum 3-month placement, with the possibility of extension Agile/remote working - first 2 weeks in the office for induction, followed by a maximum of 2-3 days per week in Gloucestershire for visits, meetings and supervision Regular supervision, guidance and dedicated support from line management Full-time, 6-month locum contract To be considered, you'll need: A recognised Social Work qualification Current registration with Social Work England Completion of your ASYE or equivalent demonstrable experience in a statutory social work setting Experience working within Adult Social Care Experience working in a multi-agency environment and court setting Knowledge and understanding of legislation, models and theories relevant to Adult Social Work A valid UK driving licence and access to a car (exceptions may apply under the Equality Act) A minimum of 6 months' UK Social Work experience Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be happy to apply for one Three years' referencing
