Company Description: Sall Myers Medical Associates has provided evaluations and treatment for auto accident victims with orthopedic and neurologic injuries throughout Northern New Jersey for nearly 50 years. The practice is focused on helping individuals manage the consequences of motor vehicle accidents and access timely, specialized care.
Role Description: This part-time, on-site MRI Technologist role is based in Paterson, NJ and requires experience operating the Hitachi Airis II Open MRI system. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing high-quality MRI examinations, positioning patients safely and comfortably in the open MRI environment, and following established imaging protocols. The MRI Technologist will work closely with physicians and clinical staff to ensure accurate imaging for orthopedic and neurologic evaluations, particularly for auto accident patients. Duties also include maintaining imaging equipment, adhering to safety and infection control standards, documenting procedures, and supporting efficient patient flow and a positive patient experience. We perform non-contrast Musculoskeletal and Brain studies at this facility.
Qualifications: Certification and professional credentials: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration and appropriate state licensure as required. Core technical expertise: Proficiency in Radiologic Technology and Radiology, with specific hands-on experience in Medical Imaging using the Hitachi Airis II Open MRI or similar systems. Clinical knowledge: Understanding of Medicine related to orthopedic and neurologic conditions, especially in the context of trauma and auto accident evaluation. Additional skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent patient communication and customer service skills, ability to follow protocols and safety guidelines, and capability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
Education and experience: Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology or MRI program; prior experience in an outpatient or injury-focused practice is preferred.
