This role will support the deployment, automation, scalability, and security of Kubernetes environments across AWS—while maintaining infrastructure-as-code excellence and DevSecOps best practices.What you'll do:Kubernetes Deployment, Operations, and ReliabilityDeploy, configure, and manage large, production-grade Kubernetes clusters across complex set of environmentsAutomate and optimize deployments, services, ingress, storage, networking, and RBAC within KubernetesTroubleshoot complex platform issues within Kubernetes and its ecosystemContainerization & Platform EngineeringDeploy and maintain containerized DevSecOps Platform servicesImplement container best practices including image optimization, security hardening, and registry managementCollaborate with development teams to enable seamless, scalable production deployment of containerized workloadsInfrastructure as Code & AutomationDevelop and maintain Terraform for AWS resources (EKS, EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, etc.)Build and maintain Ansible automation for configuration management and environment consistencyCI/CD EnablementBuild and optimize GitLab CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments, testing, and security workflowsDrive continuous improvement in reliability, automation, security, and operational efficiencyAuthentication & SecurityConfigure and maintain Keycloak for identity, access management, and SSO integrationsImplement and maintain security and compliance controls, especially in regulated environmentsObservability & MonitoringImplement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, etc.)Assist in design and implementation of scalable monitoring infrastructure components across infrastructureTechnical Leadership & CollaborationAdvise on platform architecture and containerization strategiesMentor junior engineers in Kubernetes, containers, and automation practicesWhat you'll need:3 years of experience with: DevOps or infrastructure engineeringKubernetesAWS (including EKS, EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, and/or CloudWatch)Container technology (Docker, Podman, or containerd)Troubleshooting technical issues and collaborating with cross-functional teams2 years of experience with: IAM (policies, roles, & service accounts)Terraform, Ansible or other automationGitLab CI/CD pipeline developmentNetworking fundamentals and service mesh familiarityGovernment/compliance frameworks (800-53/800-171)Scripting (Bash, Python)CompTIA Security+ or other DoD 8140 qualified certification (expected within 90 days of hire)Bonus Points if you have:Experience with: Helm, GitOps (ArgoCD, Flux)Platform One BigBangVulnerability management and security scanning toolsPrometheus/Grafana/Loki stacksKeycloack administrationRecommended Certifications Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)AWS Certification: Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or Security certificationClearance :Must have a TS/SCI level government clearance#clearancejobs#LI-Defense #LI-Onsite
