About the role
Material Handler/ReceivingJohnson Service Group is looking for a Material Handler for one of our clients in San Jose. The Material Handler is responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping materials, parts, and supplies while ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.Responsibilities:Performs manual and clerical duties such as receiving, storing, and issuing materials, parts, supplies and equipment.Receives materials, checks against documentation for completeness, identification and quantitySorts, counts, checks received goods, raw materials, finished or semi-finished parts and subassembliesIssues materials, supplies components and parts from stockPrepares stock kits for production departments and verifies, counts, or documents any shortagesPrepares shortage documentation and reviews status of shortages, back order files, and inventory status reportsInterface and support internal/external customers (production, quality, engineering, small carriers, trucking companies, etc.)Ships products and other items as requiredDelivers or picks up items to customer or supplier locations as requiredQualifications:High school Diploma or GED equivalence Or minimum of (2) years of material handling experience or equivalent toPrevious Forklift experience preferred. Specifically Stand up Reach ForkliftPossess a high level of integrity in handling confidential and sensitive informationHigh attention to detail Proficient with PC-based software including Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced knowledge of Word and ExcelEffective organizational skills required; detail oriented; ability to multitaskPossess excellent communication skills in both verbal and written formAbility to keep accurate documentationAbility to apply basic concepts of arithmeticAbility to use common sense to solve practical problemsAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees; Maintain courteous, professional and effective working relationships with employees at all levels of the organizationESD, MSL, and Raw component handling $21/hr. contract to hire day shift 8:00 am - 4:30 pmJohnson Service Group (JSG) is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
