Shipping Clerk Responsibilities:
  • Verify items, quantities, weights, and shipping information against orders, invoices, and bills of lading
  • Prepare and package products for shipment using cardboard or wooden containers
  • Apply shipping labels, stencils, and other identifying information
  • Inspect shipments to ensure they meet specifications
  • Record weights and shipping charges
  • Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies
  • Use hand trucks or forklifts/tier lift trucks to move materials and shipments
  • Follow safety and quality procedures
  • Requirements for Shipping Clerk:
  • High School Diploma or GEDPrevious assembly or shipping experience is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable working with small parts and good hand dexterity
  • Able to stand and walk for the entire shift
